The Offlines

Somewhere tonight,
a town is calling.

You have one hour to uncover the truth in an American town or neighborhood, maybe one you live in. Everyone has their own version of what happened. Some will lie, some will hold back, and some won't talk at all.

Who will you believe?

Somewhere tonight

Every light is a place. One of them is calling.

Cases are set in real American towns and neighborhoods. Each one is written before you arrive, and the truth never moves. Tap the map to see who is calling next.

The job

One hour. One town. Your own questions.

  1. 01

    Arrive.

A town has called. You get one real hour, and that hour is one day in town, from eight in the morning to ten at night. When the day ends, the investigation ends.

  2. 02

    Ask.

There are no dialogue trees and no clue buttons. You type or speak your own questions, and people answer the way people do: directly, badly, warmly, defensively, or not at all.

  3. 03

    Accuse.

Before the day ends, name who did it and put your case before the town council. The truth was fixed before you knocked on the first door. You are not creating it. You are trying to reach it in time.
